Rose Kathryn Vliet, age 72, passed away on October 29, 2026, at 10:18 a.m. where she lived with her loving daughter and family, leaving behind a family who loved her dearly and countless memories that will forever be cherished.
Rose found happiness in the simple things in life. She loved getting lost in a good book, taking vacations with her sisters, enjoying coffee with her brother, spending time with her grandchildren, and making memories at the cabin. Above all, she treasured her family and the moments spent together. These little traditions and everyday moments were what made life special to Rose, and they are the memories her loved ones will hold close forever
Rose’s greatest legacy is the family she leaves behind. She is survived by her children, Criquette M. Vliet (Daniel L. Mancour) and Mandilynn M. Vliet Langford; her siblings, Herman West Jr., Lorrine Carr (Arthur Carr), and Nancy Dalle (Mark Dalle); and her grandchildren, Danny James Vliet-Licquia (wife and children), SarahAnn D. Hurd, Abby G. Langford, Connor L. Mancour (Savannah), and Paige M. Underhill (Kristian Kandow).
She was also a proud great-grandmother to Saylor R. Cotterman, Teagan J. Hillaker, Alayna M Kandow who brought an extra special kind of joy into her life.Rose was preceded in death by her loving spouse, Danny A. Vliet; her parents, Herman and Veletta West; and her brothers, Neil West and Edward West.
Though Rose may no longer be physically beside the people she loved, her memory will live on through the stories shared, the laughter remembered, the family traditions continued, and the love she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 East Hill Road, Grand Blanc, MI 48439, US, on November 6, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at Brown Funeral Home on November 6, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
Burial will take place at Sunset Hills Cemetery, 4413 Flushing Rd., Flint, Michigan 48504, on November 6, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
