Kathy was born in Flint, Michigan on May 16, 1956, the beloved daughter of the late Louis Foust and Alice Szabo. She married her devoted husband, David Finch, on September 24, 1977, in Flushing, Michigan, beginning a loving marriage that spanned decades. A deeply faithful and Godly woman, Kathy’s life was rooted in her love for the Lord and her church family. She attended several churches throughout her life, including Eastwood United Methodist Church in Flint and most recently Open Door United Methodist Church in Burton. Kathy joyfully served by teaching children’s church and Vacation Bible School, reflecting her deep love for children and her servant’s heart. Kathy was highly educated, earning her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan - Flint and her Master’s degree from Central Michigan University. Her dedication and expertise in human resources led to some of her training work being published. She enjoyed a long and successful career, working at Citizens Bank for over 25 years before retiring from Frito-Lay in 2022. As the matriarch, family was the center of Kathy’s world, especially her cherished grandbabies. She loved family vacations and enjoyed trips to the casino. Kathy was happiest in the sunshine or relaxing by a swimming pool. Known for her selfless spirit, she truly lived by the words, “Do everything for everyone,” putting others before herself every day of her life. In her final act of generosity, Kathy was an organ donor, continuing to give even beyond her lifetime. Her kindness, faith, and unwavering love for family will be forever remembered and deeply missed.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, David; daughter, Jillian (Jeffrey) Sears; grandbabies: Kameron and Grayson Sears; siblings: Louis (Marilynn) Foust and Larry (Stephanie) Foust; stepmother, Ruby Foust; sister-in-law, Donna Foust; many other loving family members and friends.
