Mark Allen Barnhart, age 83, of Prudenville, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Horizon Assisted Living in West Branch.
Mark was born on March 4, 1943, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Oscar and Lola Barnhart. Mark grew up in the Flint area, graduating from Flint Northern High School. On August 12, 1977, in Flushing, Mark married Marjorie Fern Joyner. He worked as a teamster car hauler, hauling cars and trucks from the Flint GM Truck Plant, and retired in 1999. Mark was a member of the National MG Car Club and the Michigan Rowdy Car Club. He enjoyed attending car shows and meetings, along with working on his classic car collection. Mark participated in the yearly Vintage Road Races. He spent summers at Houghton Lake while growing up, and he worked at the Music Box for several summers.
Surviving Mr.Barnhart are his loving wife of 49 years, Marjorie Barnhart of Prudenville; children, Michelle Barnhart of Utah, Mark (Dena) Barnhart of Flint, Michael Trevillian of Ohio, and Mark (Christina) Trevillian of Swartz Creek; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven siblings; several nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mark Allen Barnhart will be conducted at 1 pm on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 11 am until 1 pm at Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel. Memorial contributions in memory of Mark are asked to be directed to Care Team Hospice. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
