JOHNSON, Goldie Nakeff – Of Lansing, age 96, died Thursday, August 9, 2018 at McLaren-Lansing.
Funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday, August 16, 2018 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2143 South Center Road, Burton.

Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation 4-7pm Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Parastas Service will be held 7pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Thursday at church until the time of the service.
Goldie was born in Newark, Ohio on May 25, 1922, the daughter of the late Tanas and Todora Nakeff and resided in Mansfield Ohio, Akron, Ohio, Grand Rapids, MI Flint, MI before moving to the Lansing area. She married her beloved husband George Johnson on February 24, 1946 after he returned from serving in World War II. Goldie and George had two children, Peggy Lee Conser and her family and Thomas George Johnson and his family. She was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Flint. Goldie was a long-time subscriber of the Macedonian Tribune and was proud to be a Macedonian.
Surviving are daughter, Peggy;
son, Thomas;
3 grandchildren, Danica, Katelyn and Spencer;
great-granddaughters, Kyleigh, Jayden and Makayla;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George, Father Tanas, mother, Todora, brother Vasil Kakeff, granddaughter, Tarin and great niece, Kirston.
