COUTURIER, Susan Kay (Brown) - Age 69, of Swartz Creek, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer and surrounded by family on Sunday, December 3, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Friday, December 8, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 4PM - 8PM Wednesday, 1PM-8PM Thursday and 10AM until time of service Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Sue was born on April 7, 1948 in Flint, MI to the late Milford and Mary Catherine (Train) Brown. She was a very active and involved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She also was a champion trap shooter who enjoyed baking, spending time with her friends and watching her granddaughter, Abbey, play hockey. Sue also enjoyed reading and Detroit Redwings Hockey. She was well known throughout the Real Estate community after being an agent from 1976-1990 and then moving to the mortgage side of the transactions from 1990 until the time of her death. Surviving are: daughters, Michelle Edmonds, Gina (Lisa Stefanski) Couturier, granddaughter, Abigail Edmonds; brother William (Carol) Brown; many nieces and nephews and a host of special friends and people who were lucky enough to call her "family". She was also preceded in death by her sister, Matthew Scott Brown; sister, Judith Ann (Brown) Kurnik. Online condolences may be posted on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
