DALRYMPLE, William John - Of Burton, age 74, died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Regency at Whitmore Lake.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, with a military service under the auspices of V.F.W. Post #4088 Honor Guard.
Reverend Mary E. Biedron officiating.
Burial in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, MI.
Contributions may be made to North Congregational Church, 36520W. Twelve Mile Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48331.
Visitation 6-9pm Sunday, October 20, at the funeral home.
William was born in Detroit on May 26, 1939, the son of the late William H. and Lilian E. (Jackson) Dalrymple. Bill graduated from Albion College and was a member of North Congregational Church in Farmington Hills, FAAR (Flint Area Association of Realtors), First Presbyterian Singles and the Burton Rotary Club. Bill owned and operated Realty World-Dalrymple and Associates. He was employed with AAA McNamara Properties Inc. and also did wedding photography.
Bill proudly served as an officer in the United States Air Force from 1962-67.
Surviving are son, Billy (Wendy) and daughter, Leslie (Kevin) Altepeter both of Minnesota;
step-children, Cheryl (Karl) Wellman of Wisconsin, Craig (Leanne) Culinski of Swartz Creek and Christina Culinski of California;
9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren;
many nieces and nephews;
sisters, Iris (Ross) Button of CA, Daphne Dalrymple, Judy (Jim) Campbell and Sylvia Glant.
