CRITTENDEN, Carrol E. – of Columbiaville, formerly of Flint, age 93, passed away January 5, 2012 at Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich. A Funeral Service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2012 at East Flint Church of the Nazarene, 3515 N. Belsay Rd., Flint, 48506. Pastor Ron Sharpe II will officiate. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. On Sunday, there will be visitation at the church from 2-4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to East Flint Church of the Nazarene.
Carrol was born June 24, 1918 in Flint, MI, daughter of the late George Frederick and Mildred (Huntley) Slosser. She graduated from Fordson High School, Dearborn, MI. Carrol Slosser married Ollie Ray Crittenden on March 11, 1939. Ray preceded her in death on May 13, 1995. Carrol loved and served the Lord at East Flint Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School and was Missionary President for many years.
Carrol is survived by her children, Albert (Janet) Crittenden of Holly and Audrey Bearup of Columbiaville; grandchildren, Rejeana Crittenden, Aaron (Tara), Caleb, and Nathan (Auna) Bearup; great-grandchildren, Amanda Mills, Gavin, and Alexander Bearup; siblings, Murel Cleeremans, Madonna Mihora, Phyllis Gayer, Norman (Mary) Slosser, Carl (Nancy) Slosser, and Joann (Jerry) Furlett; many nieces and nephews; dear friends, Cam and Pam Vermilya. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Frances Mantella, Georgia Ryff, Edna Torsch, and son-in-law, Curtis Bearup.
