ROYCE, Robert L. – of Flint, age 85, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Haven E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville, FL. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. A private burial will take place in the Attica Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Friday and 10-11 AM prior to the service on Saturday.
Robert was born on February 5, 1933 in Roscommon, MI, the son of the late Joseph Porter and Georgia (Clover) Royce. He married Shirley Ann McClellan in May of 1956. She survives him. Robert proudly served in the Army United States Army. He retired from Buick in January of 1983. Robert belonged to the UAW 599. He enjoyed working on his antique cars.
Robert is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Royce; children, Robert (Karen) Royce and Sharon Royce; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol (Jerry) Neumann. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Meiser and son, David Royce.
