BISHOP, Shirley A. – of Clio, age 83, died peacefully at her daughter’s home on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. She was a woman of deep faith, quiet strength, and unwavering love for her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at SS. Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Burial will be held at Crestwood Cemetery in Grand Blanc. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Monday from 3PM until 8PM, and at the church on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of Mass at 11AM. A scripture service will be held at 6PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to SS. Charles and Helena Catholic Church.

Shirley was born on April 3, 1943, in Flint, Michigan, to the late William and Marie (Enos) Seneski. She graduated from Clio High School. On August 21, 1971, Shirley married Donald Bishop, and together they shared 50 beautiful years of marriage until his passing on May 21, 2022. She worked as a sales representative for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company for many years, a role she truly loved and took great pride in. Shirley and Don also owned and operated the Family Mecca Restaurant for several years. She had a strong faith and was a devoted member of SS. Charles and Helena Catholic Church. Shirley found great joy in traveling, especially during the winters she and Don spent at their home in Arizona. She carried herself with grace and elegance, always well put together and known for her kindness. Above all, Shirley cherished her family, especially the time she spent with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are: Children: Donald Bishop Jr., Alexander (Marilyn) Panos, Gary (Doreen) Bishop, Sophia Starr, Vincent Bishop, and Dana (Jason) Burtrum; Grandchildren: Anthony Freeman, Brittani Bishop, Christopher Valdez, Adrienne (Wesley) Burtrum, and John-Michael Burtrum; Great-grandchildren: David Valdez, Abigail Arissa, Ozias Valdez, Loxley Burtrum, and Khyren Burtrum; Siblings: Bill (Sue) Seneski, Roman (Theresa) Seneski, Marie (Gary) Makarewicz, and Katie Swanton; Several nieces and nephews.
