James "Jim" Kent Platt, age 52, of Flushing, Michigan passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021.
Jim was born on November 23, 1968 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Duane and Gail Platt. He graduated from Utica High School in 1986 and married Brenda Alexander on February 15, 1992. Their union together formed three lovely children: Morgan, Matthew, and Micah. Jim was incredibly involved in Boy Scouts for many years and earned the Honor of the Eagle Scout award. He served as Scout Master of Flushing Troop 115 for his sons and countless others from 2012-2017.
Jim worked for General Motors in Auto Design for many years. He was also a master plumber, proudly owning his own business.
Beloved husband of Brenda; adored father of Morgan, Matthew, and Micah; and proud grandpa of Elizabeth. Jim is also survived by his mother Gail and his siblings. He was preceded in death by his father, Duane.
The family will greet friends from 2:00pm-8:00pm on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W Pierson Rd., Flushing. Funeral service will take place at 12:00pm on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at the above location. Visitation from 11:00am until time of service at noon. Minister Jim Watson presiding. Interment following at Flushing Cemetery.
