WHITE, John P., Sr. - Of Flint, age 69, died Sunday, October 6, 2019 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery with military honors under the auspices of the Marine Corps League Flint Detachment #155.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
John was born in Flint, Michigan on July 4, 1950, the son of the late George H. and Shiela (Balderstone) White.
He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. White served 20 years plus in law enforcement. After retirement he worked as Chief of security for General Motors Corp.
Surviving are daughter, Shannon Macek;
sons, John Jr. (Shuree) White and Jason White;
grandchildren, Steven Macek, Salean Macek, Seth Macek, Kyle White, Aaron White, John White III and Jacob White;
brother, David White; sister-in-law, Theresa White and
longtime friend, Diane Monas.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Gary, Bruce, George and Cheryl.
