Diana Lynn Brady (Peters) - age 79 of Traverse City, formerly of Millington, Lennon, and Corunna. passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 12PM, Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial to follow to Millington Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Saturday from 11AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to The Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church.



Diana was born July 8, 1944, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Lawrence and Mabel (Grace) Peters. She attended and graduated from Flint Northern high school with the class of 1962 as valedictorian. Diana then went on to Western Michigan University, where she earned a bachelors degree with a double major in education and art graduating magna cum laude. She then earned her masters degree in elementary counseling at Central Michigan University. After earning her masters degree, she served as the elementary counselor for the Ovid Elsie school district for just shy of 20 years, retiring in 2004, she also was a teacher at Durand schools. Diana was also the accounting department supervisor at Schmelzer Company in Durand for 10 years.



Diana married Gary Brady in 1962 they had three children David, James, and Debra Lynn. They made their home in Lennon, her children attended Durand area schools, and Corunna Public schools they divorced in 1979. She then went on to meet Bob Feague, who was the love of her life. After she retired, she and Bob lived in Naples, Italy for several years and enjoyed traveling throughout Europe. Including England, France, Germany, Spain, Greece, and Poland. After those adventures they returned to the states and made their retirement home on Old Mission Peninsula in Traverse City. Diana also traveled around the United States, visiting National Parks and many many states. She was an avid member of the Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church where she was active in the women’s group, putting on charity craft bazaars, teaching painting classes, and helping in the Christmas gift giving program.



More than anything Diana loved all of her family deeply and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cherished every time the family was able to be together. She loved her Lord, family, traveling, and taking pictures. Diana enjoyed working with kids, arts and crafts, painting, and visiting art fairs. She was a very talented artist, and an expert quilter. You could find her antiquing and visiting antique shops. Or at the beach in Traverse City. More than anything she was an amazing woman who will be missed by many.



Left to cherish her memory are: The love of her life, Robert Feague; Children: David and Annmarie Brady, Debra Lynn Brady-Miller and Tony Kuchar Jr.: Grandchildren Mariah and Jeff Kartes, Michael and Megan Brady, Mathew and Lorena Brady, James Brady, Holly and Brad Taylor, Jennifer and Bill Holloway, Jesse and Stacie Brady, Courtney and Dakota Hart and Anna Brady; Great grandchildren: Jose and Shae Kartes, Isabella, Lily, Lennon, Nora, and Mabel Kartes, Abigail, Emma, Jeremiah and Eva Brady, Isenia, Preston and Adyson Brady, Emilia Brady, Cael and Bodee Taylor, Dylan and Miles Holloway, Maddox and Miller Hart; Siblings: Barbara Peters, Gary and Geri Peters, Donna and Gary Duranseau, Jeanette and Dan Smith, and Sally Loomas; Many many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, her Feague family, and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her son, James Brady; Parents, Lawrence and Grace Peters; Siblings: Lawrence Peters Jr, Darald Peters, Beverly and Louis D’itri ,Charles Peters Sr, Barbara and Jim Kirkland, and Tom and Vickie Morehouse; Nephews: Scott Morehouse and Charles Peters Jr. Please sign our guestbook or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com.
