Dennis Warren Hagon of Owosso, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones.
He was born in Goodrich, Michigan, on June 15, 1950, to Herbert Warren Hagon and Nadyne LaVonne Hagon. After graduating from Owosso High School, he entered the Navy and was honorably discharged.
He married the love of his life, Margaretta "Peggy" (Smith) Hagon, on December 31, 1973.
He worked at Herb's Auto Parts alongside his father. He was also an EMT with Owosso Township Rescue and an IT administrator with the State of Michigan. He loved to joke that he was "going
to prison" when he had a year's work assignment in Jackson. He and Peggy loved taking RV trips, watching movies, and spending time with their beloved dogs.
He is survived by his daughter, Nadyne Richmond (Michael) of Mountain View, California; his sisters, Nancy Stott of Lewiston, Texas, and Lorie Winowiecki (Kirk) of Owosso, Michigan; and
many beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Peggy Hagon; his parents, Herb and Nadyne Hagon; and his sister, Catherine (Cathy) Smitter.
A visitation will be held at Nelson-House Funeral Home in Owosso on Monday, August 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A service will be held there at 1 p.m. Afterwards, a private reception will be held at his home.
