Davis, Dawn M. Of Flushing, age 52, died Sunday, October 25, 2020, at her home. A Funeral Divine Liturgy will be 10 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020, at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church. The Very Rev. James J. Batcha will officiate. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rossell Funeral Home with a Parastas at 7 p.m. and 9 a.m. Thursday at the church with a Panachida service prior to the Liturgy at 10 a.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made for Masses at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church or Our Lady of Lebanon or The American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research.
Dawn was born in Flint, Michigan on July 1, 1968, the daughter of William and Josephine (Juno) Kumpon. She married Michael Davis on July 29, 2006. Dawn was a lifetime member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church. She loved animals, especially her dogs. Dawn enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, golfing, fishing, camping and traveling around looking at all the beautiful sites in Michigan. She loved musicals. Dawn loved baking and family gatherings. She was accepting of everyone, had the biggest heart and always had a smile to share, making sure others were happy. Dawn was a loving wife, beloved daughter and wonderful sister and best friend.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; dogs, Chester and Beetlejuice; brother, Willie Kumpon; mother and father-in-law, Janet and Calvin Davis; brothers-in-law, Jeffrey and wife Maria Davis, Randy L. Davis; Godmother and aunt, Lynn Kumpon; cousin, Rick Kumpon; and uncles, George and wife Suzanne Juno, Robert and wife Patricia Juno, and numerous cousins. Dawn was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and Godfather and uncle, Richard Kumpon and her dogs Licorice and Tinker. |
