Olive was born in Lake Station, Michigan on February 24, 1925, the daughter of Matthew and Rhode (Schooley) Scott. She met and then married Steve Holovach on February 5, 1946. They moved to Flint, Michigan and built a home together. Steve was a finish carpenter and furnished their home with treasured pieces. Polly was a Den Leader for the Cub Scouts, Pack 226, for many years earning the Silver Fawn and Silver Beaver Awards. She loved her time with the boys. Polly was also involved with the Community Schools Program (TAG). She and Steve loved to dance and joined the VFW. They made great friends of their music group/band family. Polly continued dancing with her friends after Steve’s death in 1994. Polly loved her family and truly cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She gave each a felt Christmas ornament each year. Polly was a great cook, loved to sew her ornaments and spent hours tending her beautiful garden. She will be missed and the memories she made with us all will be a comfort in the coming years.

Grandchildren, Krista Vergos (George), Chad Holovach (Andrea), Steven Holovach and Colton Holovach;

Great-grandchildren, Carter Sean, Charlie Sloan and Harrison James Holovach;

Sister, Louisa (Don) Wilkinson and Faith Swanson;

And many nieces, nephews and cherished friend, Vita Bremlet.
