SCHMIT, Judith Anne - Of Swartz Creek, age 86, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Swank Home Assisted Living.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am, Friday, February 27, 2026, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Father Joseph Krupp officiating.
Visitation will be held at 9am on Friday at the church.
Cremation has taken place.
Judith was born in Flint, Michigan on September 7, 1939, the daughter of the late Joseph and Olga Sekelsky. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Judith enjoyed traveling with her husband, gardening and bird watching. She had a love of people, especially her close friends and family.
Surviving are children, Steven (Marsha) Schmit of Grand Blanc, and their children, Sydney (Tyler) Mazzolini and their daughter Vivian and Joseph Schmit;
Alyssa Tybor and her son, Adam Tybor;
Alan (Joy) Schmit of Chicago and their children, Colson Schmit, Samuel Schmit and Margaret Schmit;
Kurt Schmit of Grand Blanc and his children, Madeleine (Mike) Serota,
Benjamin Schmit and Nicolaus Schmit;
sister, Kim Birrell; niece, Angeline and nephew, Johney.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonse Schmit on February 9, 2025.
