RENSHAW, Leroy – of Genesee Township, age 92, passed away March 19, 2014 at home. A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Burial, with Military Honors under the auspices of Davison American Legion Post #267 will be in Montrose Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Saturday and 1-2 PM Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice.
Leroy was born in Utica, MI on April 29, 1921, son of the late Stowall and Grace Renshaw. He married Shirley Roat on February 14, 1940 and she preceded him in death on December 20, 2010. Leroy enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and spending weekends at the cottage on Houghton Lake. He especially loved his dog, Buddy. Leroy proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated Renshaw Construction for 58 years.
Leroy is survived by his son, Dave; daughters-in-law, Lynn Fikes, Lynette; son-in-law, Al Kosha; grandchildren, David and Angela Renshaw, Dana (Troy) Smith, Eric (Jodi) Renshaw, Janet Beaulieu, Paul (Diana) Kosha, Kathy (Gerald) Scott; several great-grandchildren; special friend, Phillip Jurk. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gail Kosha; son, Daryl Renshaw; several brothers and sisters. The family would like to say thank you to Connie Hall and Katie Ackert and a special thank you to Lorrie Murray.
