ELLIOTT, Jerry Lee – of Grand Blanc, MI, age 84, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held 12 PM Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Davison Missionary Church, 1481 North Gale Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Enosh Fee officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, immediately following the service in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4-7 PM Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. Visitation will begin at 10 AM until the time of the service on Thursday at Davison Missionary Church.
Jerry was born in Marion, IL on June 13, 1936, son of the late Lee and Edna Elliott. He married Janet Forystek on May 28, 1955 in Mt. Morris, MI. He graduated from Central High School. Jerry proudly served our country in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division. He was stationed in Munich, Germany for two years. Jerry retired from Chevy Metal Fab as a crane operator after 46 years of service. He loved to attend car shows, belonged to a race-walking club, walked the Crim Race many times and the Detroit Half Marathon twice. Jerry especially loved being a snowbird in Florida, picking up shark teeth and watching the boats at the North Jetty with his wife of 66 years, Janet. He was quick to help others and could start a friendly conversation with anyone. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Janet Elliott; children, Deborah (Anthony Carriveau) Elliott, Timothy (Lisa) Elliott and Bradley (Charlotte) Elliott; 8 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Sue (Terry) Duffy. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob; granddaughter, Tonya.
