OSBORN, Roger Lee – Of Flint, age 86, died Friday, August 1, 2025, at Cascades Assisted Living.
Per Roger’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Roger was born in Sedalia, Missouri on October 27, 1938 of the late Russell and Zella (Williams) Osborn. Roger lived on a farm near Keyterville, Missouri until his late teens. His family then moved to Richmond, Indiana. Roger served his country in the United States Navy for nearly 4 years and was an Airbourne Photographer and then the United States Army for 3 years. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #64. Roger married Wanda Jean Leonard in 1960 in Richmond Indiana. He and Wanda then moved to Flint, Michigan in 1964. He was employed and then retired from the Flint Fire Department after 23 years of service.
Surviving are daughter, Diana (Randy) Blandford of Flint Township;
Granddaughter, Courtney Giles of Flint;
Sister, Linda (Terry) Shipley; Godsons, David (Diane) Halstead, Darrin Halstead and Goddaughter, Danielle Halstead-LaForest; And nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda in 2018 and brother, Gary Osborn.
