Of Flint, age 95, died Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at his residence surrounded by loved ones. Cremation has taken place.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a graveside committal at Sunset Hills Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Harold was born in Utica, New York on January 30, 1925, the son of the late Harold F. and Catherine T. (Kenefick) Rahn. He graduated from Flint Northern High School, Class of 1943. Harold proudly served in the United States Army 88th Division in Europe from 1943-1945. He was a decorated World War II Veteran, earning 2 major campaign stars, 2 Bronze stars, WWII Victory medal, American Campaign medal and European Campaign Medal. After his time in the military, he went on to graduate from GMI Kettering University in 1951 with a bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering. He worked for Buick Motor Division retiring after 37 years. During his lifetime, Harold was a voracious reader and an avid golfer, participating in the Senior Olympics for many years. He was an avid downhill and cross-country skier and fisherman and had a fondness for travel, especially to the mountains.

Surviving are daughters: Suzanne M.(Wayne) Lynch of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Karen K. Rahn of Boulder, Colorado and Mary E.(Walter) Adler of San Antonio, Texas; Grandchildren: Christina M. (Mark) Andoni of Fenton, Michigan, Michael W. (Ashlynn) Adler of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and Erica K. Adler of Las Vegas, Nevada; Great-grandchildren: Andrew McDonald Tatay, Andrew Nelekona Adler, Adisynn Victoria Adler and Joshua Basil Andoni; Niece: Kathy A.(Michael) Umbarger; Nephew: Michael W. Dollar; Great-nieces: Lauren M. Umbarger, Kristina M. (Jmac) Zimmerman, Jessica M. Rahn, Amanda J. Rahn, Marie (Matthew) Milliken and Megan Dollar; Great-nephew: Erich M. Umbarger; Beloved friends, Sharon Cumpata (“Sherry Rose”) and Kenny Bright (“Semper Fi”);
And beloved little canine buddies, Annie and Chancie. He was preceded in death by parents, Harold F. and Catherine T. Rahn, brother, Lawrence G. Rahn, sister, Dorothy J. Dollar, brother-in-law, George W. Dollar and nephews, Jeffrey L. Rahn and Michael T. Rahn.
