Kevin Gerald Church

Born: 3/26/1954
Died: 10/19/2026
Age: 72
Community: Memorial Service at the Doubletree Hotel, Bay City, MI

Kevin Gerald Church, age 72, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 19, 2026, after battling a brief illness, surrounded by family and dear friends.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Donna, who remained faithfully by his side until the very end; his children, Brooke (Robert) Rosas, Todd (Brenda) Bosco, and Brandon (Ashley) Church; his grandchildren, Anthony (Paris) Rosas, Eric (Milan) Rosas, Francesca Rosas, Olivia and Ivy Bosco, and Bryce, Jackson, and Gavin Church; and his dear sisters, Cheryl (Doug) Baron and Kim (Mark) Perry.

At the center of Kevin’s life was his unwavering faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He dedicated his life to serving his God, Jehovah, and, as a shepherd, was a source of strength, guidance, and comfort to countless others. He was a rock that so many leaned on, always willing to help those in need. He took especially to heart Jesus’ example of caring for widows, quietly looking after those who needed support. Following congregation meetings, Kevin could often be found at Grandpa Tony’s, enjoying a “Rusty Nail” with 4, not 3, 4 cherries, good conversation, and the company of dear friends.

Kevin had a larger-than-life personality and a presence that could fill any room. Nowhere was that personality more evident than across the table during a game of cards. He loved being on the water, out on the bay or at the Saginaw Bay Yacht Club aboard one of his boats, so perfectly named “Instigator.” He loved every part of fishing, from buying the latest gadgets to sharing his love for it with other fisherman. In his last days he was happy just to be at the yacht club by the water.

Kevin was a man whose presence and influence extended far beyond any one role or community. One of the places he left an extraordinary legacy was Arnold Sales. His 52 years with the company began with delivering and working in the warehouse, and evolved into his position as sales and overall manager. Throughout those years, Kevin helped shape not only the success of the company but also the lives of the people around him. Coworkers and customers became lifelong friends, and many became family. Widely respected throughout the industry, Kevin earned a reputation as both a “titan” and a “legend.” Beyond his professional accomplishments, he had a charisma and presence that filled a room, and he built friendships and relationships that lasted a lifetime.

Kevin found a welcome escape from the demands of his busy world in the quiet woods of “the Shack,” where he could spend time with his boys and the close-knit community of friends he built there. Even when he couldn’t be there in person, he made sure to check on the deer and wildlife through one of his many, many trail cameras. It thrilled him to share the pictures as well.

Throughout his life, Kevin wore many hats and held many titles. He was a devoted husband, a father, a man of faith, a leader, a mentor, a protector, and a friend to so many. But of all the titles he earned, none meant more to him than simply “Papa.”

Nothing brought Kevin greater joy than getting down on the floor, boisterously laughing, playing, and wrestling with his grandchildren. He was their biggest fan, celebrating every accomplishment, no matter how big or small.

Kevin was blessed with friends who, as the scripture says, “sticks closer than a brother.” Among them were Dan, Jeff, Nate, Ryan, Eric, Scott, George, Hal, Rob, Bob, and many others whose loyalty and friendship remained steadfast until the very end.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to hospice nurses Johanna and Christina, and especially to Liz, for their compassionate care, kindness, and support.

His absence will be felt in countless places and lives. We are confident Kevin is safe in Jehovah’s memory and we rest our hope in the Bible’s promise that we will see him again in paradise.
