FILIPIAK, Kenneth Jeffery - Age 54, of Swartz Creek, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Per Kenneth's request cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Ken was born December 7, 1968, in Flint, the son of James Joseph and Elaine Rose (Romel) Filipiak. He was a 1987 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. He had resided in the Swartz Creek area his entire life. He married Kathleen Frances Mondro July 8, 2000, in Farmington Hills. Ken was employed in the manufacturing business as a supervisor/plant manager. He was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Swartz Creek Post and was a former member of the V.F.W. Chevrolet Post Auxiliary in Flint. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen; son, Kyle Filipiak of Swartz Creek; parents, James and Elaine Filipiak of Durand; sister, Jennifer (Robert) Keilitz of Caro; brother, James Joseph Filipiak, Jr. of Chesterfield; brother-in-law, Joseph (Meadea) Mondro of Plymouth; sister-in-law, Donna (Ira) Smith of W. Bloomfield; and 6 nieces and nephews, Jacklyn, Ian, Lance, Alex, Karolina and Lukas.
