Karen Marie Arceo of Flushing formerly of Davison, age 77, died Saturday October 24, 2020 at McLaren-Flint. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon Wednesday October 28, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant, private burial at Sisters of St. Joseph, Kalamazoo. Family will receive visitor from 2-5 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Due to CDC Guidelines social distancing and limited amount of visitors at one time are being followed. The family would like you to join them but understands you may or may not at this time and respects your decisions. Karen will lie in state at the church from 11:15 am until time of services on Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions in Karen’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Karen was born in Flint Michigan on March 31, 1943 the daughter of the late J. Benjamin & Vivian (Cronkright) Wolverton and had resided in the Davison area most of her life. Karen was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to many and she will be truly missed by all. She was a graduate of St. Michael’s Class of 1961, and has been a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church for seventy years. She also attended St. Robert Catholic Church in Flushing, and was a member of the Friends of Sisters of St. Joseph. Karen worked as a nurse for both Hurley Medical Center and McLaren Hospital until her retirement.
Surviving is son Michael & wife Judy Arceo, and daughter Anne & husband Mike McDonald. Also her loving grandchildren: Brandon (Alexis) McDonald, Jillian Arceo, Mathew McDonald, Jennifer (Christopher) Judd, Elizabeth Trevarrow, and great grandchildren: Megan, Josh, Katie, Nick, Rowan, and Alayna. She is also survived by brother David and wife Patricia Wolverton, and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by brothers: Benjamin Wolverton, and Robert Wolverton.
