Mildred Isabell Kruchten, age 82 of Flint, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 surrounded by her loving husband Ron and family. She was born on August 2, 1935 in Waterbury, Connecticut to parents William and Mildred (Dooling) Kerr. Her family moved to the Chicago area is 1940. She met Ron in high school and together they attended the University of Wisconsin. On August 24, 1957 they were married and later moved to Flint in 1958 where they raised three children. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church for over 50 years where she served as a Deacon and Elder as well as a Peer Counselor at the Gerholz Christian Counseling Center. She also served on the YWCA Board of Directors and the Family Service Agency Board of Directors. Isabell was a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood and Chi Omega Sorority. Isabell is survived by her husband, Ronald Kruchten; children: Cheryl (Steve) Timyan of Grand Rapids, Brad (Dolores) Kruchten of Rochester, NY, and Karen Maxson of Wilmington, DE.; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister: Marilyn Raich of Indianapolis, IN. The family would like to give special thanks to the Medical Team Hospice for their heartfelt care and support. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 10:30-11:30am at First Presbyterian Church, 746 S. Saginaw St., Flint. A private family service and burial will be held afterwards. Rev. Dr. Joseph A. Novak officiating. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Flint or Young Life of Genesee County. |
