PIERCE, Arthur "Dan" – Of Burton, age 67, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Dennis Lowe officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to Autism Support and Resource Center.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Arthur was born in Flint, Michigan on April 12, 1950, the son of T.J. and Betty (Boyle) Pierce.
On July 3, 1970 he married Judith Keen in Burton.
He enjoyed golf fishing and liked to watch NASCAR. He loved spending time with his grandson Ty.
Surviving are wife, Judith;
children, Sarah (Tuan) Edwards and Scott (Megan) Pierce;
grandson, Ty Edwards;
sisters and brothers, Georgia McElyea, Kath (Jerry) Ray, Norma Ray, Bobby (Joe) Vansandt, Jeri (Steve) Riggins, Al (Karen) Pierce and Tom Pierce;
brother-in-law, Henry Hubbard;
sister-in-law, Lauri Pierce;
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charlie Pierce; sister, Nancy Hubbard and step-father, Homer Wright.
