CARPENTER, GARY RICHARD- Of Flushing, age 89, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025, at Swank Home Assisted Living in Swartz Creek.
Memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Chaplain Rex Ray Dela Peret officiating.
Visitation will be held at 1pm Saturday until the time of service at the funeral home.
Gary was born in Flint, Michigan on March 23, 1936, the son of the late Bert and Bernice (Easter) Carpenter.
He married Marion I. Carpenter in Flint on November 26, 1960.
Gary was a carpenter by name and trade and was part of the Teamsters for 38 years. He was a family man who loved to be outside, camping, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by Sharon Carpenter, Berta Campbell, Kimberly Hilden and Gary R. Carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bert and Bernice (Easter) Carpenter, Dennis Carpenter and Karen Hager.
