DOYLE, Joseph M. – of Mt. Morris, age 70, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018, as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held 1PM Monday, August 6, 2018 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial in Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Morris. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 4-8PM, Sunday from 1-8PM and Monday from 12PM until the time of service at 1PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Joe was born September 17, 1947 in Flint, Michigan to the late James and Emmagene (Barlow) Doyle. He graduated from Clio High School in 1968. Joe married Anne Blaska on June 1, 1968 at Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Mr. Doyle is a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was the manager at Clio Auto Salvage for 10 years, co-owner of Flint Auto Salvage, and owner of Doyle’s Auto Salvage for many years. Most recently, Joe was employed with Complete Auto and Truck Parts. He was an avid bowler, and enjoyed golfing, fishing, and playing softball. Joe also enjoyed big game hunting with his son, together they traveled to Canada, Colorado, and Saskatchewan. He took great pride watching his grandchildren play sports and teaching them. Joe was loved by all who knew him, never met a stranger, and had a heart of gold. Above all, Joe loved his family, they meant everything to him. He will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Wife of 50 years, Anne Doyle; Son, Barry (Beth) Doyle; Daughter, Amy (Danny) Link; 6 grandchildren: T.J. (Markie) Vance, Kenny (Ana) Beckham, Danielle Link, Chelsey Link, Noah Doyle, and Emma Doyle; 3 great grandchildren: Thomas, Laura Anne, and Declan; Identical twin brother, John; Brothers: Jim, Bob, Bill, Chuck, Louis, and Denny; Many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends.
