Annetta Mae Fitch, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. She was born on July 15, 1927 in Flint to parents Rollo and Corrine (Lehman) Brainerd. Annetta retired as secretary for the Flint Board of Education after 30 years of service. She was a member of the National Education Association (NEA). After retiring, she enjoyed volunteering at local hospitals both in Oscoda, Michigan and in Florida. In previous years, she enjoyed travelling with her late husband, Robert; they had visited 49 of the 50 states but enjoyed their time in Hawaii the most. Annetta was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children: Darrell (Connie) Fitch and Jerald (Christine) Fitch; grandchildren: Robert (Krysten) Fitch, Tiffany (John) Bishop, Jenna (David) McFarland, Jarred (Marissa Lanning) Fitch; great grandchildren: Gracie, Peyton, Luke, Sam, London, Adeline, and Marek. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Robert Fitch. A funeral service will take place at 12pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 4-8pm, and again on Saturday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11am. Interment at Flint Memorial Park. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Nathan’s Place in memory of Annetta. |
