FARNER, Marilyn D. (Shiflett) – of Davison, MI, age 91, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held 4 PM Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Chaplain Don Bennett officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 2:30-4 PM Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice, in Marilyn’s memory.
Marilyn was born in Toledo, OH on October 25, 1929, daughter of the late Floyd and Mildred (Sherman) Shiflett. She loved to play Bingo and had a “green thumb” for gardening.
Marilyn is survived by 4 children, Sandra Ann (Don) Malucci, Ramona (Daniel) Kesten, Charles (Caroline) Farner and Charmaine Yates; 2 step-sons, Delton (Barb) Farner and Doug Farner; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Patty Christiansen; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mildred Shiflett; daughter, Nancy Farner; 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of Grace Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Marilyn.
