Deborah Lynne Strauss, 70, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at McLaren Hospital in Flint, MI.
She was born on October 31, 1955, to Donald and Doris (Holloman) Gibson in Columbus, IN. Deborah worked as an aide and secretary for Swartz Creek Middle School. On August 24, 1974 she married Michael Strauss at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Swartz Creek, Michigan. She enjoyed snowmobiling, skiing and time spent with family at their cabin on Higgins Lake. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
Deborah is survived by her loving spouse of 51 years Michael, Two Sons, Richard Strauss and his wife Erin and Ryan Strauss and his wife Samantha; seven grandchildren, Alaina (Jacob), Evan (Nicole), Sarah (Thomas), Haleigh, Reid, Kollin and Keagan; great grandson, Riley; her brother Rick Gibson; two sisters Cathy Devine and Dee Dee Langley, and a special, nephew Sam Russian; also an abundant amount of nieces and nephews; brother in law, Rick (Mary) Strauss, sisters in law, Kelly (Ken) Emigh and Loanne (James ) Russian.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as two sisters.
Cremation has been entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel. A memorial gathering is being planned for a future date.
