POWELL, Charles W. - of Flint, MI, age 79, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021 at McLaren-Flint. Cremation has taken place. A Private Memorial Service will be held.
Charles was born in Atlanta, MI on January 2, 1942, son of the late Martin and Ruth (Cooley) Powell. He married Darlene Powell on June 21, 1975 in Flint, MI. Charles retired from General Motors. He enjoyed cabinet making, woodworking, all sports, playing cards, traveling and outdoor activities. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Charles is survived by his wife of 45 years, Darlene Powell; his children, Shelley McDonald, Julie Davis, Steve Powell, Scott Powell, Kim Thompson, Kathy Gildner and Dale Schaupp. He was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
