Jerry Calvin Burns, age 63, of Caro, Michigan, passed away on October 25, 2025. He was born on November 26, 1961, in Ft. Gordon, Georgia, and later grew up in the Sacramento, California area, before eventually making Michigan his home. He was the son of Charlene Allan and the late Raymond Burns.
Jerry spent his working life in construction, a field where his strong work ethic and willingness to help others were always appreciated. Outside of work, Jerry’s faith was central to who he was. He loved Jesus deeply and lived his life with a warm, joyful spirit that lifted those around him.
He shared a special bond with his dogs throughout his life, especially Benny, his faithful companion who rarely left his side. Jerry was also known for his humor—he loved to make people laugh and always had a joke ready to brighten someone’s day.
Jerry is survived by his mother, Charlene Allan; his brother, Jeff Burns; his sister, Judy (Patrick) Kelly; and several nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Burns, and his brothers, James Patton and Jon Burns.
Jerry will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, his unwavering faith, and the love he shared with all who knew him. His family takes comfort in God’s promise of eternal life, resting in the words of 1 John 2:25: “And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.”
A private memorial will be held at a later time.

Lord, we thank You for the life of Jerry— for the joy he brought, the love he shared, and the faith he lived so openly. Comfort our hearts with Your peace, and surround his family with Your presence. May Jerry rest in the fullness of Your eternal promise, held safely in Your arms. Amen. |
