NIETO, Cassandra K. – of Flint, age 59, died Monday, July 30, 2018 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 3, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Flint. Fr. Paul Donnelly officiating. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 5-8 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for Cassandra’s grandchildren College Fund.
Cassandra was born December 11, 1958 in Dover, Delaware to Wayne and Juanita (Wise) Miller. She grew up in Flint and graduated from Beecher High School with the class of 1976. Cassandra also went to Mott Community College and received her Medical Assistant Degree. On September 10, 1977 she married Louie Nieto in Flint, Michigan. She worked as a Material Analyst at the Truck and Bus Assembly for Ryder Logistics for 18 years. Cassandra was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Flint. She enjoyed sewing, movies, and going to dinner with her husband Louie. Cassandra loved spending time with her grandchildren at their sporting events and at Christmas time.
Surviving are: Husband of 40 years Louie; Children, Jennifer Nieto, Justin (Sarah) Nieto, Juanita “Neena” (Josh) Cooper; Grandchildren, Zachary Cooper, Sydney Cooper, Novaleigh Cooper, Aydin Cooper, Makenzie Knight, Jackson Nieto, Adalynn Nieto, Conner Cooper, Cy Cooper, Cayley Cooper; Parents, Henry (Juanita) Book; Siblings, Shelby (Irena) Miller, Susan Book, Hank (Carrie) Book; Father in law, Benito Nieto; several nieces and nephews; Best Friend and Sister in law, Elodia (Joe) Mireles. She was preceded in death by her favorite Aunt, Freda Brothers; Sister in law, Peggy Miller; Mother in law, Maria Nieto, Best Friend Beverly Toth and friend Brian Wisenbaugh.
