McKENZIE, Carol Jean - Age 58 of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, December 1, 2020. A Private family service will take place. Live Streaming of the service will be available Tuesday, December 8,2020 at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Pastor Karen Bolinger officiating. A public visitation will be held 3-8PM Monday at the Funeral Home. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Carol was born February 27, 1962 in Flint the Daughter of Bernard and Marie (Osgood) McAlinden. She married Gary McKenzie on August 2, 1985 in Flint and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2017. Carol owned and operated Shear Excellence in Swartz Creek for 30 years. She enjoyed styling hair, drinking coffee, going to the casino, reading tabloids, watching game shows and soap operas. Carol especially enjoyed spending time with her grandsons. Surviving are, Nate (Caitlin) McKenzie of Flushing, Damon McKenzie of Swartz Creek, Dylan McKenzie of Kalamazoo, Diane (Jacob) Babb of Fenton, Madeline McKenzie of Swartz Creek; two grandsons, Max and Jack. She was also survived by her siblings, Pat (Jesus) Lozano of Linden, Colleen (Gary) Pace of Davison, Tom (Linda) McAlinden of Swartz Creek; brother-in-law, Steve (Beverly) Tranchell of Swartz Creek; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Marie McAlinden; husband Gary McKenzie; sisters, Theresa Warden and Diane Tranchell. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
