HOLLENBECK, Gene Michael, of Burton, age 77, died peacefully at home Saturday March 6, 2021. Cremation has taken place. In memory of Gene, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the staff at Ascension at Home Hospice for their outstanding care.
Gene was born in Flint on April 9, 1943, son of the late Iantha (Inman) and Floyd A. Hollenbeck. He married Linda Freeman on February 17, 1978. Gene worked for GM Buick Motor Division, retiring after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery and spending time with family and friends.
Gene leaves to hold dear his memory, his wife of 43 years, Linda; 4 children, Audra Hollenbeck, Pamelyn (Robert) Drubin, Derrick (Lindsay) Hollenbeck, Gina (Brandon) Rose; grandchildren, Mallory, Alyssa, Giuseppe, Zoe Parmer, Griffin Hegg, Jagger Carruba, Finnigan, Aurora, Seeley, Blaise Drubin, Addison, Bryce Hollenbeck, Dylan McIntire, Emily, Connor, Emree Rose; along with other family and dear friends; He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Denise.
