We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dennis James McBride Sr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Dennis left us on the 8th of July, 2025, after a courageous battle with a long illness. He was surrounded by love at his home in Midland, Michigan, at the age of 79.
Born on February 26, 1946, in Flint, Michigan, Dennis grew up with a strong sense of community and an unwavering work ethic. He was a proud graduate of Bendle Public Schools, where he formed lifelong friendships and laid the foundation for his future endeavors. After high school, Dennis dedicated many years of his life as a union representative for General Motors truck and bus, advocating for the rights and well-being of his fellow workers. His commitment to the workforce was paralleled only by his dedication to his country, as he was also a respected veteran who served with honor and integrity.
Dennis was a devout Christian, living his faith through his actions and the love he showed to others. He was a beacon of light in his community, always extending a helping hand or a word of encouragement to those in need.
An avid outdoorsman, Dennis found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of fishing and hunting. He was also a master of the card table, delighting in spirited games of Euchre with family and friends. These moments of camaraderie and laughter were the threads that wove the fabric of his life.
Above all, Dennis was a family man. His love for his wife, Patricia McBride, was the cornerstone of their beautiful life together. As a father to Dennis Jr.,Tonya and Arthur he instilled values of kindness, intelligence, and friendliness, traits that he embodied every day. His role as a grandfather to Tyler, Megan and Chris, Breanna and Andrew, Emily, and Garrett and as a great-grandfather to Addy, Kendall, Theo, Carter, Cooper, and Cindy. was one he cherished with all his heart. The legacy of Dennis's loving nature and wisdom will live on in them.
Those who knew Dennis will remember a man who was the epitome of loving, intelligent, and friendly. His laughter was infectious, his advice was sought after, and his presence was a comfort. We take solace in knowing that his spirit will continue to guide us, and his memory will forever be a source of joy and inspiration.
Dennis’s journey through life was marked by the many hearts he touched and the lives he enriched. Though we mourn the loss of such a remarkable soul, we celebrate the incredible life he led and the indelible mark he left on this world.
As we bid farewell to Dennis James McBride Sr., we hold tight to the memories and the love he shared. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. No memorial services are being held at this moment.
