STEWART, Barbara – Of Flushing, age 91, died Friday, September 17, 2021 at Hyde Park Assisted Living.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12:02pm Monday, September 27, 2021 at St. John Vianney Church, 2414 Bagley Street, Flint,
Father Thomas Firestone officiating.
The funeral will be live streamed. If interested, go to www.flintcatholic.org This will take you to the website. Once there, hit “Live Stream”. After that you will get two pictures of church altars. Pick St. John Vianney and a red arrow will come up that will take you to You Tube. Nothing will be there until the time that the Mass begins at 12:02 p.m.
Visitation 5-8pm Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Powers Catholic High School.
Barbara was born in Flint, Michigan on October 5, 1929, the daughter of the late James Vincent and Marie (Renox) Stewart. Barbara was a kindergarten teacher. She also enjoyed traveling. Barbara was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and also sang in many other choirs.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Bob, Pat, Jim and Larry and sister, Virginia Hirn.
