Marcia M. Balderstone, age 79, of Grand Blanc, Michigan passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Marcia was born on January 12, 1944 in Flint, Michigan to the late Robert and Clara Martin. Marcia married James Patrick on May 21, 1966. They were married for 31 years before his passing in 1997. Marcia loved the casino, BINGO, playing cards, Las Vegas, and decorating for every holiday. When Marcia was younger she loved playing golf and was very proud that she had once made a hole in one. She volunteered for many years and was a lifetime member at Crossroads Village where she married her second husband, Douglas Balderstone on September 18, 2004. Marcia loved to sing in her church choir at Halsey United Methodist Church. More than anything, Marcia loved spending time with her family. She could light up a room with her enthusiastic personality and make everyone smile. Marcia was a wonderful woman and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Troy) Brancheau; grandchildren: Jennifer (Adam) Rainey, Ryan (Samantha) Brancheau; great granddaughter, Olivia Rainey; brothers, Gary Martin and Rick (Monique) Martin; sister-in-law Geri (Nate) Esio; and several nieces and nephews. Marcia was preceded in death by husband, James Patrick; husband, Douglas Balderstone; and sister-in-law, Barbara Martin. The family would like to send a special thank you to Halsey United Methodist Church and Abbey Park for their love and support of Marcia. A visitation for Marcia will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM with one hour of visitation prior to at Hill Funeral Home. Interment will be held at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to American Heart Association in memory of Marcia.
