Linda Lee Hunt, age 78, a lifelong resident of Lapeer, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026. She was born on August 14, 1947, in Flint, Michigan, Linda was the daughter of Floyd and Emma Fraim. She was raised in Lapeer, where she cherished spending time with her siblings and developed the strong work ethic and determination that would define her life. Linda graduated from Lapeer High School with the Class of 1965.
Linda devoted more than 30 years to the Lake Inn, where she proudly managed the restaurant through both busy seasons and challenging times. She also shared her talents as a seamstress in historic downtown Lapeer. Hardworking and dependable, Linda devoted herself to providing for her family, always placing their needs before her own.
Above all, Linda's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She had a gift for crafting, a patient ear for listening, and a special love for tending to her houseplants, which flourished under her care. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew her.
Linda is lovingly survived by her children, Matthew Coffer, Andrew Hunt, and Sara Kitson; her grandchildren, Trenton Vinson, Jordyn (Luke) Martin, Morgan Hunt, Owen Kitson, and Devyn Hunt; her great-grandson, Benny Martin; her brother, Dan (Darlene) Fraim; her sisters, Bonnie Shaw, Patricia Irwin, and Peggy (Ed) Norton; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Emma Fraim, and her beloved grandson, Austin Andrew Hunt.
In accordance with Linda's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors in Lapeer.
Linda's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Select Specialty Hospital for the exceptional care and kindness shown.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 3565 Davison Road, Lapeer, Michigan 48446.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stroke Fund for Discovery at Michigan Medicine. |
