Plumb, Phyllis – of Au Gres, formerly of Columbiaville, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Friday, October 16, 2026 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park, Pastor Alan Duce to officiate. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 11AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richfield Church of the Nazarene.
Phyllis was born on July 9, 1960, in Flint, Michigan. She was a hardworking woman who proudly spent 40 years as a Millwright for General Motors. To say Phyllis was a workaholic would be an understatement—she believed in working hard and giving her all to everything she did. Phyllis was a woman of strong faith and attended Richfield Church of the Nazarene for many years. Above all else, her greatest joy was her family. She loved them fiercely and made it a point to be present for the moments that mattered most, including the birth of each of her grandchildren. Phyllis was one of a kind—genuine, strong-willed, and never afraid to tell you exactly what she thought. She would help anyone as much as she could, but she also knew when enough was enough. She could be stern when needed, but behind that toughness was an incredibly loving and generous heart. Phyllis loved big, cared deeply, and was always unapologetically herself. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are: Son, Dale (Amy) Plumb; Grandchildren: Trevor Hoffman, Brantley Plumb and Kolt Plumb; Great grandchildren: Oakley Hoffman, Sadie Hoffman and Weston Metzger; Siblings: Jim (Jolene) Costello, Phillip Costello Jr and Nancy Costello; Many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in passing by her parents;, Phillip and Mary (Carpenter) Costello and grandma, Callie Ikard.
