Nancy Elaine Naessens, age 80, of St. Louis, MI, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Hearts Content Adult Foster Care Home, Breckenridge, MI.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Nativity of the Lord Parish, Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Louis, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 3, 2023, with Rev. Fr. Paul Werley presiding. Burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Seville Township, MI. Visitation will be held 5-8 P.M. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at the funeral home.
Nancy was born in Alma, Michigan on August 28, 1942, the daughter of Ellis Arthur and Ilene Marie (Clark) Terrell. She graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1960. On October 7, 1961, Nancy married John Henry Naessens at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Alma, MI. They were married for fifty-six years of marriage prior to his passing on July 16, 2018.
Nancy loved Christmas and had a large collection of all things Christmas. She enjoyed quilting. Along with her husband, she liked to go antiquing and camping. The family reunions and family get-togethers were very important to her. Nancy was an avid gardener. She especially loved her flowers and watching birds. Over the years, she made many crafts and was involved in church craft shows.
Nancy is survived by her three sons: Thomas (Bonnie) Naessens of St. Louis, MI; Kevin Naessens of Holland, MI; and Jeffrey Naessens of St. Louis, MI; and two grandchildren: Desirae Naessens, and Blaine (fiance' Matt Price) Naessens. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John.
