Robert "Bob" Phillips
Age 60 of Owosso passed away at Hospice House of Shiawassee County on November 13, 2018 following a sudden and vicious attack by cancer.
Funeral services will be held 11am Friday November 16, 2018 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor Marlene Webster officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4pm to 8pm
Bob was an OHS graduate, working construction for most of his life. He earned the reputation of a well respected and fair superintendent. Always humble, but proud to have never missed a deadline, he enjoyed mentoring those rising up in the field. He was employed by Siwek Construction in Flint.
Outside of work he was caretaker of many things at home and for family. He enjoyed watching sports live and on TV. Known for his sweet tooth, he also loved authentic Mexican food.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Dorothy, son Aaron, daughter Kristan (Ray) Gallagher, wife Trish and stepchildren Joe and Carly Blanchett. He also leaves behind siblings Rick (Chris) Phillips, Shari (Mike) Hill, Dave (Gloria Jean) Phillips, Debbie (Brian) Stoddard, and Katy (Tim) Brown, many nieces and nephews and Goddaughter Laura DuMont.
Waiting to welcome him at Heaven's gate was his father Walter...a reunion of two caring and generous men.
Memorial contributions are suggested the Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
Bob believed in being polite to all people at all times and in being comfortable. It was rare to see him in something other than sweats. Keeping this in mind, the family encourages visitors to wear their favorite hoodie to the funeral.
