Virginia was born in Flushing, Michigan on August 5, 1936, the daughter of Ralph and Winifred Brown. She was a graduate of Flushing High School. A few short years later, Virginia married the love of her life, William John Staley on August 4, 1956. Together they went on to welcome three boys, Paul, Gregg and Scott.

Virginia, along with her husband, Bill took over their second-generation family business, Staley‘s Plumbing and Heating in 1970, with their sons joining the business one by one. Both Bill and Virginia retired in 1996, leaving the business to their three sons who successfully continue to operate their third-generation family business, originating in 1941. Virginia was proud to recently announce her grandson will carry their family business into a fourth generation.

Virginia enjoyed spending holidays with her family, knitting, cross-stitching and putting together puzzles. She also enjoyed tending to her yard, gardening and planting flowers. Bill and Virginia spent many summers camping in Oscoda, Michigan, as well as spending their winters in Clermont, Florida. Virginia’s feisty personality will be missed.

Virginia is survived by her three sons, Paul (Sheryl Watts) Staley, Gregg (Molly) Staley, Scott (Jennifer) Staley; grandchildren, Heidi (Jason) Hanel, Mandy (Josh) Hanel, Scotty (Becca) Staley, Jared (Allie) Staley, Natalie (Tony) Dean; great-grandchildren, Waylon, Avery, Morgan, Ryan, Peyton, Paisley, Beksley, Colton, Virginia, William & Weston; sister and best friend, Verl Curtiss and very special niece Kim and husband Jesse Garcia both of Phoenix, AZ.

Virginia was proceeded in death by her husband of 49 years, William Staley; great- grandson, Landyn Hanel; parents, Ralph and Winifred Brown; sister, Beverly Whitney; and brother, Ralph Brown.

Bill and Virginia are eternally back together again.
