STRAHLE, Marjorie James passed in her sleep on July 25, 2020 in Fenton, MI, following a 7 month battle with cancer. Marjorie was born in Detroit, MI the daughter of Kenneth F. James (deceased 91 years old) and Elizabeth A. James (deceased 88 years old). As a loving mother, Marjorie provided unwavering support for her three children: Lindsay Catherine Strahle-Black (husband Derek Black), Amanda Strahle Dryer (husband Brett Dryer), and Catherine Alexandra Strahle. She was a guiding light to her husband of 40 years, David A. Strahle, MD, Chairman/President, Regional Medical Imaging (RMI) and most appreciative of her doctors as well as the staff at RMI during the past several months.
As a graduate of Central Michigan University and Michigan State University, she held a Master’s degree in speech pathology in which she applied her skills in helping children at the Mott Children’s Health Center. More recently, Marjorie spent time helping underserved communities in Florida and took great pride in interior design and gardening.
Along with her husband and daughters, Marjorie is survived by her sisters Barbara James, Deborah Jacobs, and Carol James, her grandchildren Alden Black and Colin Black, along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and countless friends whom she will continue to touch their lives every day.
Equally beautiful inside and out, her friends and family will never forget her kind demeanor, graciousness, and patience. She now resides with God, the true Father, in heaven.
Cremation has taken place. Private visitation and memorial service will be held.
