MCCORMICK, Mary Ann – Of Flint, age 63, died Monday, January 16, 2017 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 at Harmony Baptist Church, 5106 East Bristol Road, Burton, Reverend John H. Grantham officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the family.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Scripture Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mary Ann will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service.
Mary Ann was born to Roland and Una Foco in Flint, Michigan.
She was a member of the first graduating class from Luke M. Powers Catholic High School, Class of 1971.
On June 16, 1972 Mary Ann was the first female and third recipient of a Kidney Transplant at Hurley Medical Center. Mary Ann was employed by the State of Michigan in various capacities.
Mary Ann enjoyed Bingo, vacationing, and trips to the Casino.
On August 2, 1977 Mary Ann married the love of her life, Jeff McCormick. Together they raised their son, Ryan.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Jeff and son, Ryan;
sisters, Bonnie James and Ines (Mike) Labick;
sister-in-law, Susan Banks;
brothers-in-law, Edward, Michael and Joe McCormick;
nephew, Sean James;
niece, Heather James and her children, Donovan, Jordan and Jenna;
nephew, David and wife Rachel Hall and their son, Tyler;
niece, Melanie Hall;
many other nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mike and brother-in-law, Tim James. Also by the young man who gave her The Gift of Life 45 years ago.
