Beverly Jean Kidder (Case) passed away on October 15, 2026, in Grand Blanc, Michigan, surrounded by those who loved her. To honor her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family is planning a memorial service in the summer of 2027.
Born on April 27, 1946, in Flint, Michigan, to Virginia and Ronald Case, Beverly spent her childhood catching frogs and exploring her parents’ property with her big brothers, Dave and Jim, whom she loved dearly.
While still in high school, Beverly met Carl Kidder on a blind date. He always said it was love at first sight. They married on November 30, 1963, and raised three children, Christina, Carl Erik, and Ginny. Their strong, loving marriage spanned nearly five decades, until Carl’s death in 2011. Beverly missed him every day.
Beverly’s marriage and family were the center of her life and her greatest source of pride. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, she was unwavering in her loyalty and fiercely protective of those she loved. Capable of anything she set her mind to, she chose to devote herself to being a full-time mother, pouring her talents, energy, and heart into raising her children. She was naturally nurturing, with a special tenderness for babies. Children naturally gravitated to her.
During the last fifteen years of her life, Beverly traveled across the country to visit her children. She loved flying and seeing new places, and she cherished the time those visits gave her with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Watching them grow and sharing in their lives brought her tremendous joy.
Smart as a whip, confident, and fiercely independent throughout her life, Beverly could do most math in her head and paint an entire house in a day. With a talent for decorating and renovating, she always had a project underway, whether she was refinishing an antique piece of furniture or retiling a bathroom entirely on her own. She inherited her father’s green thumb and could grow anything. She kept an impeccable home and was a wonderful cook, especially known for her chicken piccata, lasagna, beef stroganoff, and fudge.
Beverly wrote in her journal daily. She loved the color burgundy, lead crystal, angels, trips to the casino, oysters, and red birds. These small but distinctive parts of her life will remain treasured reminders of the woman her family knew and loved.
Beverly is survived by her children, Dr. Christina Snider (Mike), Carl Kidder (Wanda), and Ginny Moorehead (William); her grandchildren, Amanda Wilson, J.D. (Arvelle), Casey Kidder, Mindy Kidder, Annie Kidder, William Moorehead III, and Ivy Moorehead; and her great-grandchildren, Alivia Wilson, Aleah Wilson, and Alorah Wilson.
She also leaves her sister, Patricia Laaksonen (Raymond); her brother, Dennis Crawley; her son-in-law, Thomas Kalisz; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Carl Kidder; her parents, Ronald and Virginia Case; her brothers, James Crawley and David Crawley; her stepfather, George Crawley; her daughter-in-law, Martha Kidder; her beloved niece, Rhonda Reich; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly’s memory may be made to McLaren Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Her family also hopes you will pause and think of her whenever you see a red bird. |
