Sherwood, Suzanne “Sue” – of Clio, age 75, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at Henry Ford Genesys accompanied by her daughters. Funeral services will be held at 1PM, Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Dr. Dorothy Sample to officiate, burial to follow in Thetford Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 11AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Sue was born March 31, 1950, in Flint, Michigan to the late Harold and Martha (Clayton) Boulton. Sue graduated from Clio High School in 1968 and soon thereafter, on October 19, 1968, she married the love of her life, Robert Sherwood. Sue dedicated 28 years of her career to the automotive industry, working diligently on the production line at Fisher Body and later at Delphi. A proud member of the Eastern Stars, Sue’s warmth extended beyond her family and friends. She was known for her compassionate spirit and her ability to welcome everyone into her heart—a true mother to many who sought her kindness. Her home was a haven of love, laughter, and the delicious aroma of her famous fish fries. Memories of ringing her beloved dinner bell will forever echo in the hearts of those who gathered around her table.
In her spare time, Sue enjoyed traveling, embracing the vibrant energy of places like Las Vegas and Cancun. She cherished serene moments spent fishing and deer hunting in her younger years, but perhaps what brought her the most joy was the simple pleasure of day trips and new adventures. Always by her side was her loyal dog, Brody Barker, who brought her comfort and companionship.
Surviving are: Daughters: Melissa (Matthew) Snarey, Jennifer (Don) Stengel; 7 grandchildren, Monte and Robert (Amanda) McMillan, Ty Stengel, Kyle (Jessica) Stengel and Garrett (Ashley) Stengel, Parker Snarey and Gavin Bodnar; Great granddaughter, Gracelynn McMillan; Sisters: Cynthia Bartman and Kim Boulton; Special niece, Sara Jordan along with many other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in passing by her husband, Robert Sherwood.
