Richard “Dick” Lee Polzin of Flint, Michigan passed away peacefully Thursday August 27, 2026. Richard was born in Flint Michigan on March 8, 1946, to Arthur Sr. and Geraldine Polzin, their second of 3 children.
Richard worked in healthcare caring for head injury patients for over 30 years. He enjoyed traveling, playing golf, going on long drives, shopping, and being outdoors.
He loved his family and loved to be with those he loved. He loved to laugh, and make people laugh.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother Geraldine (Altene), his father Arthur Sr., his older brother Arthur Jr. (Larry), and his younger brother Curtis.
He is survived by his son Doug (Joanna), his grandchildren Zoe and Dennis, his beloved sister-in-law Katha, his 5 nieces and nephews, his 10 great nieces and nephews, and his 3 great, great, nieces and nephew.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his nursing staff and aids at Medilodge of Grand Blanc. Especially extending their thanks to Kiara, Jessica, Diana, Alexis, and Anara. The love, care, and compassion was very much appreciated and does not go unnoticed.
Cremation will be taking place and there will be no service at this time.
