SCHULTZ, Rebecca Lynn (Barrette) – of Montrose, age 55, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at McLaren of Flint. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Montrose Family Worship Center, 9453 Vienna Rd. in Montrose. Pastor Bob Leming officiating. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10 AM until time of services. Contributions may be made to the family.
Rebecca was born on November 18, 1958 in Saginaw to Tommie and Sally (Duby) Purdue and lived in Montrose her entire life. She was employed at Webster and Garner for 3 years. Rebecca was a member of the Montrose AA Group which she co-founded with her husband 12 years ago. She enjoyed shopping, crafting, riding her quad, and treasured her grandchildren. She was a cancer survivor and a true fighter.
Surviving are: husband, Paul; children, Anna (Eric) Hundshamer of Swartz Creek, Amy (Dale) Stevens of Montrose, Harold (Katrina) Barette of Mt. Morris; Matthew Johnson of KS; Timothy (Tamara) Schultz of Vassar, Nicole (Roy) Cody of KS, Alesha (Mike) Segar of FL; 12 grandchildren; parents, Tommie and Sally Purdue of Paradise; brother, Mike (Nanette) Czap of VA; sisters, Anna (Jim) Fallis of NY, Karen (Joe) Luark of TN, Danielle (Ralph) Powers of West Branch; special aunt and uncle and "partner in crime" Gail and Jerry Lane of Montrose; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: a daughter, Rachel Good; and a sister, Raedeane Purdue. The family would like to thank the nurses at McLaren CCU for their care and compassion as well as the Green family.
